PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Breeding Grounds may collect, why we use it, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.
THE SHORT VERSION
We only want the information needed to run Breeding Grounds, provide your account and creations, process purchases, prevent abuse and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
1. WHO WE ARE
“Breeding Grounds”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Breeding Grounds service.
Privacy contact: thebreedinggrounds@proton.me
If you have a privacy question, request or concern, contact us using that address.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
Depending on how you use the service, we may process:
- Account information: email address, breeder/display name and account identifiers.
- Authentication information: securely handled account credentials and authentication/session information. Passwords should not be stored by the service in plain text.
- Breeding information: donor vehicle names, breeding requests, generated offspring information, DNA identifiers, Green Slip/card information and garage records.
- Uploaded content: vehicle images or other files you choose to submit to the service.
- Community information: posts, likes, shared creations and related content you choose to make public.
- Purchase information: pack, credit, transaction and payment-status information. Card payment details are processed by Stripe rather than stored as full card details by Breeding Grounds.
- Technical information: information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, such as request information, timestamps, browser/device information and security events.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
- create and manage your Breeder account;
- authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- run vehicle research and AI breeding generations you request;
- store your creations in your Garage and provide Green Slips and related features;
- operate Community and Photo Wall features where you choose to publish content;
- process and reconcile purchases and breeding credits;
- prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate transactions and unauthorised access;
- maintain, debug and improve Breeding Grounds; and
- comply with legal obligations or protect our legal rights.
4. LEGAL BASES
Where UK GDPR applies, we will rely on an appropriate lawful basis for processing, which may include:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide your account, creations or purchases.
- Legitimate interests: for security, fraud prevention, service improvement and protecting the service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by law.
- Consent: where we specifically ask for consent and the law requires consent.
5. AI AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
Breeding Grounds relies on third-party technology providers to operate parts of the service. Depending on the feature and current architecture, these may include hosting, database, payment and AI providers.
Information necessary to provide a requested feature may be processed by those providers. For example, vehicle information and uploaded images may need to be sent to an AI generation or research provider when you request an AI breeding.
We choose service providers appropriate to the function they perform and require appropriate handling of information where legally required.
6. PAYMENTS
Payments for breeding packs are processed through Stripe. Breeding Grounds receives information needed to identify and reconcile a purchase, such as the account, pack, transaction and payment status.
We do not ask you to send us your full card number, card security code or banking password. For payment-security and privacy information relating to Stripe's processing, please also refer to Stripe's own privacy information.
7. COOKIES, STORAGE AND LOCAL DEVICE DATA
Breeding Grounds may use browser storage or similar technical mechanisms to keep you signed in and remember information required for the application to function.
We may use essential technical mechanisms required for security, authentication and service operation. If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, we will update our privacy and consent arrangements as required.
8. PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY CONTENT
Some Breeding Grounds features allow you to publish creations to a Community Hub or Photo Wall. Content you choose to publish publicly may be visible to other users and may be shared through public creation links.
Do not publish personal information, confidential material or images that you do not have permission to make public.
You can contact us if you need help with a privacy issue involving content published through Breeding Grounds.
9. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, providing your creations, maintaining purchase and credit records, security, dispute handling and legal obligations.
Different types of information may need to be retained for different periods. When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete it or anonymise it where reasonably possible.
10. SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach that legally requires notification, we will follow the applicable reporting and notification requirements.
11. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights including:
- access to personal information we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of information in certain circumstances;
- restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- objection to certain processing, including some legitimate-interest processing;

12. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may ask us to close your account and request deletion of personal information, subject to information we are legally required or reasonably entitled to retain, such as certain transaction, fraud-prevention or dispute records.
Deleting an account may also affect access to your Garage, creations, community content and unused digital credits. We will explain any material consequences before carrying out a deletion request where appropriate.
13. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Some technology providers used by Breeding Grounds may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will seek to use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards.
14. CHILDREN
Breeding Grounds is not designed as a children's service. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where applicable law requires parental involvement or prohibits the processing.
If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can investigate.
15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as Breeding Grounds develops, our technology changes or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at thebreedinggrounds@proton.me so we can try to resolve it.
